Trans – Tasman Kiwi rowing sensation Shaun Quincey said that he will continue with his attempt to row single-handedly from Australia to New Zealand despite challenges such as an incident where he was seen turned over twice in heavy seas.

The 25-year old rower thought that he had lost a lot of gear during the incident but discovered the next day that he only lost a few items and can continue with his bid.
In his podcast broadcast, Quincey said that he had a fright the night before due to the heavy seas but he assured fans that he can continue with the journey and intends to finish what he had started.

Quincey sent a distress signal the night before from his boat Tasman Trespasser II after it capsized twice about 680 kilometers west of New Zealand. The authorities were put in alert and the rescue team was set in place in case Quincey gives the go signal.
